First Steps

Alphabetical DEFINITIONS to terms and abbreviations used on this page are HERE.

As a non-webmaster you can also use these tools. . .
. . .IF you are using a system such as the Quick Start to Wealth Team Elite marketing system, which sends people to the tour and signup pages which our upline member, Harold Bryant, creates, maintains, and hosts for you.  If you don't plan on building, hosting, and maintaining your own websites, I highly recommend you consider implementing this marketing system.

At the very least, you should use an autoresponder such as TrafficWave.  One of the features of TrafficWave is that it includes several LCPs from which you can choose and edit to your taste.  It is hosted on their server, so you don't have to become a webmaster if you don't want.  This is also the autoresponder which is used in the Quick Start to Wealth Team Elite marketing system.

Squeeze page
squeeze page is a subscribe form that leads to either a free report or a sales letter (like this squeeze pageon my website).  Your squeeze page will consist of a title, a few bullet points or short statements, and all information should be information should be above the fold.  It will also have an email opt-in form which could be as simple as a field for first name and one for email address.  Most surfers don't actually read; they skim.  Bullet points make this much easier for them.

LCP (Lead Capture Page)
Your LCP, as the name implies, is a page that captures leads for you.  It is very similar to a squeeze page  in that it consists of a catchy title (USP, HOOK, and CTA).  It should have 2 or 3 short paragraphs that whet the appetite without giving away the details.  The surfer will have to fill out the opt-in form to find out more.  Graphics are helpful, but again keep all your information above the fold.  See an example of a LCP HERE That LCP  is part of my TrafficWave autoresponder account.

So what's the difference between a squeeze page and a LCP?
Some LCPs are much longer than the 2 or 3 short paragraphs I recommend.  Some are quite long and thus less effective.  Surfers like to skim rather than read long pages, remember?  Some LCPs are so short, they could also be called squeeze pages (in fact, some people use the 2 terms interchangeably).  But the main component of a LCP is that it must have a form to capture leads.  In summary, I like to categorize a squeeze page as a "short version LCP".

Splash Page
A splash page is  a fast loading, short, and compelling web page that is designed to quickly grab your visitors' attention in hopes of making them have a closer look at your proposition.  Splash pages are useful in traffic exchange promotion, where you have only a few seconds to attract the surfer's attention.  A good splash page should:

  • Display a strong visual impact
  • Present your point very quickly
  • Display your logo or personal photo (for branding)
  • Exist entirely above the fold and be quick-loading
  • Give the visitor a clear call to action

AutoResponder
An autoresponder gathers the information from the form on your LCP and sends a series of emails to the person who filled out the form.  It also mails the form information to you so you can add it to your email list.  You decide what to put in each emal, the time interval between each email in the series, how many emails are in the series, and what contact info and URL links go into the emails.  You set it up once, and the autoresponder does the rest automatically.

So you can be sound asleep while Joe in Australia sees your LCP and fills out your form. Next, the autoresponder immediately sends him the first in a series of emails.   Joe takes your tour and signs up for your program - all while you are at home sound asleep.  The reason I use and recommend TrafficWaveautoresponder is that it is actually more than just an autoresponder, plus you can make money by referring others.  And every internet marketer needs an autoresponder.  Since it available by free trial, you can even promote it on the freebie websites (Hint, Hint :)).
