As a non-webmaster you can also use networking.
Send your contacts to your affiliate website which the company hosts for you.  That is the most basic "no-frills" way to use networking to promote, but it still leaves you with the disadvantages discussed at the beginning of this book.

But to have more success, use an autoresponder such as TrafficWave.  One of the features of TrafficWave is that it includes several LCPs from which you can choose and edit to your taste.  It is hosted on their server, so you don't have to become a webmaster if you don't want.  This is also the autoresponder which is used in the Quick Start to Wealth Team Elite marketing system.

The next best thing to having your own website and domain is having a system such as the QS2W marketing system, which sends people to the tour and signup pages which our upline member, Harold Bryant, creates, maintains, and hosts for you.  If you don't plan on building, hosting, and maintaining your own websites, I highly recommend you consider implementing this marketing system. Even though I also promote through my own website using TrafficWave autoresponder, I still also use the QS2W  marketing system.

Online social networking communities
These very popular communities are great places to meet other marketers and let more people know what you do.  They are also great places to get inbound links which boost the PR and search engine visibility of your web site.  You can advertise on them.  You can put your blog on most of them.

Some such as AdlandPro, Ryze and DirectMatches limit your promotional capabilities, unless you pay to upgrade to have access to more features.  But to be fair to DirectMatches, they do have a lot of members, and if you upgrade you will make a lot of contacts. You can pay them even more to upgrade to their highest level which allows you to make money on referrals.  Their compensation plan though is complicated, confusing, and  by their own admission most upgraded members do not make a profit with it.

ZenZuu
Although ZenZuu only has a PR of 3, it is the most exciting of them all.  It is brand new and still in beta, so expect its PR to improve after full launch in August 2008.  Until then, you can only become a member by invitation from another member.  For this reason you should join now so you can sign up as many people as possible before membership is thrown open to the general public in August.

ZenZuu is unique in that it includes all the features that other social networks offer their upgraded members, and it is FREE.  Social networking websites earn their profit from  from selling advertising on the website. ZenZuu will be sharing 80% of that revenue with its members.  The more members you yourself signup, the bigger your share of that 80% will be.  And remember, you paid nothing!  You joined for free!

Trade shows, seminars, boot camps, events, even yard sales
All of these are places to network, as is anywhere you can meet and talk to people.  Networking is telling as many as possible of the people you meet, about your business.  It is not a direct sell.  It is making contact, building relationships, so that these people know to come to you if they ever need what you are selling.  Typically you will exchange contact information (such as business cards and email addresses) with these people, and they will help build your list.  One of the best ways to get people to be part of your list is to give them something for free.  One of the most valuable things anyone can receive for free is information.
