DEFINITIONS to terms and abbreviations used on this page are HERE.

Ebooks (viral marketing)Write an ebook on something that would be of interest and contain valuable information for your target audience.  To get this ebook, require people to put their name and email address in your form on your LCP.  Put links to your products andLCP inside this ebook wherever appropriate.  Give this book away for free (maybe as part of a funded proposal).  Allow and encourage people to give this book full of valuable information away as long as it is kept intact with all your links.  And those people will do the same, and so on.  Soon your ebook with your links will be all over the internet.   This is an example of viral marketing.

If you don't want to write your own ebook, there are people who will give you their ebook AND allow you to rebrand it with your linksTry this search on rebrandable ebooks.

Steps to creating your own viral marketing ebook

        1.  Come up with a product idea based on your  program you are already marketing
Example:  if you're promoting a sports betting affiliate program, you might create a book on becoming a successful sports bettor.
        2.  Get the tools you need to succeed.
Domain name, hosting, auto-responder, ebook software (.pdf), graphic design software, ebook cover software
        3.  Outline your book chapters into articles.
Think up 12 - 15 articles in sequence and write about them
700 - 1000 words of useful information per page, not information people could get for free
        4.  Write your content
If you are stuck for content, interview an authority
Don't forget to tactfully add in your affiliate links.
        5.  Create your sales letter
    http://www.instantsalesletters.com
    http://www.saleslettergenerator.com
        6.  Plug in your autoresponder seires
Use chapter from your book as a teaser
            Emphasize urgency
        7.  Advertise!
No matter what topic you're selling on, there is one market who will want your book for the sole purpose of selling it - The internet marketing crowd.
Email lists are made up of people who have expressed enough interest in your product to request that you add them to the list of people that you send important information.  Retain these list members by continuing to send them valuable information periodically.  You can mention your relevant product in your emails.

These are your contacts.  These are your prospects, your future leads, your future customers and future downline.  People fill in your form on your LCP , and your autoresponder automatically sends them emails.  There is more discussion on building your permission email list in MY  YAHOO GROUP

Here are several ways to build your list through your autoresponder.
Make banner ads (or use your sponsors' if provided), and link them to your LCP.
Place ads on internet classifieds and include a link to your LCP.
Include a link to your LCP in your forum profiles.
Include a link to your LCP in your email signatures.
Include a link to your LCP in your articles resource box.
Include a link to your LCP in your PPC advertising.
When you exchange business cards, ask them directly, "Do you mind if I add your email to my list?". Write on the back of their card "add" or "don't add."

    Giveaway promotions build your lists.
You can run your own giveaway script

Make your email subject line stand out in a crowd so it will get opened.
Indent your subject line (----indented subject line---)

Add more subscription boxes to your website
Put one on each page of your website
Look at this clever creative example.

Use a squeeze page
This is a subscribe form that leads to either a free report or a sales letter (like my TrafficWave page)

Write free articles
Write a few free e-courses that people can subscribe to via links to an auto-responder which you weave into your articles.

Start your own forum
People love to answer questions, so after a while you won't need to answer so many questions yourself
Brings repeat visitors to your website
Don't use free 3rd party services.  Do it yourself with software and use your own web host.  Good software at:  http://forum.snitz.com/
Events , boot camps, seminars, meetings - talk to other attendees; build new business relationships.  These can be expensive to attend, but some people have even been known to just 'hang out' in the lobbies of such events to cultivate new relationships.

Ezines and newsletters -  Writing your own ezine or newsletter is one way to build your list.  If your newsletters are filled with information your readers can use, they won't mind you recommending a product.  In fact, they would probably trust your recommendation more than someone they have never heard of.  Keep giving them valuable information in your newsletters, and you build their trust, which in turn builds your list, and ultimately your sales and downline.

You should send out your newsletter at about the same time, same day, and consistent interval.  Once a week is good.  Once every two weeks is ok too, if you don't have the time or material to send it weekly.  The point is to be consistent, so your readers will be expecting it.

Archive your newsletter on your website (and make the archive known to your subscribers), but keep your archives 2 or 3 issues behind so your email subscribers readers can still benefit from being on your list.  This benefits you in a few ways.

    1.  It provides relevant content linked to your home page (SEO).
    2.  It makes your site a trusted "authority" site (good SEO).
    3.  It makes people bookmark your site (good SEO and traffic).
    4.  Allowing people to read your back issues without having to signup for your newsletter gives them a preview, enticing them to join.

Be sure to keep your newsletter off SPAM lists
Be sure your email message is CAN-SPAM law compliant
Be sure your list is double opt-in
Keep detailed records of all subscribes and unsubscribes; IP addresses, when subscribed, and when unsubscribed
Don't purchase bulk email lists or harvest emails from the internet
Avoid using spam trigger words like, "spam, free, special, guaranteed," etc.

Be aware of these "SPAM triggers"  that may cause email filters to delete your mail - First 8 characters of the From address are digits

Mention on your website that newsletter subscribers get each issue 2 weeks BEFORE it is archived for general viewing. Make sure you encourage your subscribers to tell their friends to signup for your newsletter.  You can have them send their friends to your archives on your website.  Of course you will have a signup page on each archived page. . . and so your list grows.
