First Steps

DEFINITIONS to terms and abbreviations used on this page are HERE.

As a non-webmaster you can also post blogs to promote your business. The difference is that a webmaster's main objective in blogging may be to get inbound links from high PR websites which hosts his blog. This increases his own website's page ranking and search engine visibility.

As a non-webmaster, your main goal is to work a conversation about your business into the blog topic that will compel readers to actually visit your LCP, which is the signup form on the website given you by Nurtonix/AB/BerryTree.  But if you are using the Quick Start to Wealth Team Elite marketing system, you want your blog to be sending people to the tour and signup pages which our upline member, Harold Bryant, has created, maintains, and hosted for you.  If you don't plan on building, hosting, and maintaining your own websites, I highly recommend you consider implementing this marketing system.

Writing your blog
What is a blog?  Basically, it is your very own soapbox where you can write about your interests.  The rules for promoting our business, though more lenient, are very similar to those of writing articles which you read about on the previous page.  An additional rule is that you need to continually update your blog, preferrably every 1 or 2 days.  You want repeat visitors.  You want fans to come back daily to see what's new at your blog.  You want a following.  It takes an average of 7 exposures before action, remember?

You do want to work your business into the blog conversation whenever it fits the topic without being overbearing, and you do have control over what you write on your own blog.  But you must consider that people will read your blog because the topic and what you say interests them.  If your blog is basically just one big ad, it is unlikely many people will read your blog.  So you need to use the same approach as with writing articles; soft sell; useful but incomplete.  Be subtle; make them think it was their  idea to click the link in your blog and come visit your website.

Blogging - Most social networking websites allow you to not only post your profile which tells what you do and includes your signature (and URL), but they also allow you to create and maintain your own blog on their site.  Join the networking sites which have good PR.  This gets you another inbound link to boost your own site's PR.  In addition to the blogs listed below, see also this list of networking communities.
(PR 8) wordpress.com - is a place where you can start your blog.
(PR 6) journals.aol.com - Now you can have a blog on AOL.  A unique feature is that you can optionally make an entry via AIM Instant Messenger.
(PR 6) scribd.com You can create a group or a blog.  You can also submit your documents for the world to see.
(PR 6) blogspot.com Make your own blog.  Owned by Google, so it naturally has a good PR.

Bookmark at these content directory websites - a place for your content such as blogs, articles, favorite links.  Of course it is a bonus if your article becomes popular here, but your main interest lies in the fact both Digg and Propeller ping the search engines several times a day thus helping to propel your article or blog page up in the search engine rankings, which in turn propels your main website ranking since you have your signature in your article or blog.

(PR 8) http://digg.com - According to Digg.com, "Digg is a place for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the web. From the biggest online destinations to the most obscure blog, Digg surfaces the best stuff as voted on by our users. You won’t find editors at Digg — we’re here to provide a place where people can collectively determine the value of content and we’re changing the way people consume information online." .  Learn how Digg works.

(PR 7) http://propeller.com - is AOL Time Warner's version of Digg and works much the same way.

(PR 6) http://scribd.com You can submit your documents such as ebooks (no html) for the world to see.  You can also create a group (just like in Yahoo Groups).
